Embracing Sadness
I am holding tight the neck of a happiness and choking it in an effort to silence it .
I am holding tight the neck of a happiness and choking it in an effort to silence it .
It feels like the futile excercise of closing the mouth of little children and holding them still when they play and shriek too much . The resraint souring their spirit and building rebellion in them ..
Have to hold tighter ,
The mouth of this shrieking child
I know it is harmless
These expressions of joy
She is playing her lonely game
of hide and seek with herself
But the noise she make
May disturb the elders
So....
She has to be silenced
Her game has to stop
They disturb the serenity
Of those who matter-
Have to make the hold tighter
and tighter ..
The restraint is souring her spiriit
And growing rebellion in her .
The wrath boiling in her
Is gathering her stock of obscenities
To lash out the moment she is able to take a breath
Have to hold, tighter and tighter.
To choke her and to silence her ..
And to finish her ..
She IS unwanted
